On the recent Expatise conference in Amsterdam, Bert van Essen introduced an interesting book “The Mobile Life” . People, who go on an expat assignment anywhere in the world face the challenge of adapting to rapidly changing work and private circumstances. They need to be(come) flexible and willing to accept difficult situations that inevitably will affect them and their families.
The book gives practical advice on how to approach these challenges: how to adapt, be prepared and engage with your new life. This fast read gives greats tips while telling the story of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s journey and exploration of Antarctica during the early 20th century.
